Hi Everyone,

Here is the weekly update for the WIS 22 roadway project in Gillett. If you know of anyone else who would like to receive these updates, please let me know and I will add them to the list.

This Week (August 10 to August 14): The contractor backfilled new concrete work at the Christie Brook box culvert. Paving crews placed asphaltic pavement in intersections between Finnegan Lake Road and South McKenzie Avenue. The concrete contractor completed prep work in the northern half of the project between East Main Street and WIS 32 and will pave the northbound lane of concrete pavement this Saturday. Landscaping crews will complete restoration and placement of signing between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street.

Next Week (August 17 to August 21): The concrete paving contractor will pave the southbound lane of concrete pavement between East Main Street and WIS 32. Curb & gutter work will begin in intersections between East Railroad Street and WIS 32.

Traffic impacts: WIS 22 closed to thru traffic for the duration of the project.

    • All driveways between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street are now open.

    • Driveways on the east side of WIS 22 between East Railroad Street and WIS 32 will be closed this week Saturday when northbound concrete paving operations begin. The contractor will provide written notice with information about accessibility.

    • Driveways on the west side of WIS 22 between East Railroad Street and WIS 32 will be closed beginning in the middle of the week next week for southbound concrete paving operations. The contractor will provide written notice with information about accessibility.

Detour: WIS 22 will remain closed and detoured. Detour route directs WIS 22 traffic to use County H and County R.

Thanks,
