Here is the weekly update for the WIS 22 roadway project in Gillett. If you know of anyone else who would like to receive these updates, please let me know and I will add them to the list.

 

This Week (April 27 – May 1): Storm sewer work continued between Birch Avenue and Elm Avenue. The contractor will complete storm sewer installation in the Elm Avenue intersection and continue working west toward Gillett High School.

 

Next Week (May 4 – May 8): The contractor will resume storm sewer work between Elm Avenue and Gillett High School. The pipe crew will complete installing underground storm sewer pipe and structures on the west end of the project. Once storm sewer is complete on the west end of the project near Gillett High School, the contractor will start the next run of storm sewer beginning just north of the East Railroad Street intersection and work south toward South McKenzie Avenue.

 

Traffic impacts: WIS 22 will be closed to thru traffic for the duration of the project. Access to driveways for property owners who live along WIS 22 will be maintained. During storm sewer work, local traffic may not be able to pass through the area the contractor is working in.

 

Detour: WIS 22 will remain closed and detoured. The project detour route continues to use County H and County R.
