Hi Everyone,

 

Here is the weekly update for the WIS 22 roadway project in Gillett. If you know of anyone else who would like to receive these updates, please let me know and I will add them to the list.

 

This Week (July 20 to July 24): The contractor began forming and pouring new west side extensions at the Christie Brook box culvert. Concrete crews continued pouring pavement in intersections between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street. The contractor completed pouring new sidewalk and driveways on the north side of WIS 22 between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street. Grading crews placed topsoil around new sidewalk on the north side of WIS 22.

 

Next Week (July 27 to July 31): The contractor will continue work on the new west side extensions at the Christie Brook box culvert. Concrete crews will complete pouring pavement in intersections between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street. The contractor will pour sidewalks and driveways on the south side of WIS 22 between Harding Avenue and East Main Street. Landscaping crews will restore the north side of WIS 22 between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street with seed, fertilizer, and protective erosion mat.

 

Traffic Impacts: WIS 22 will be closed to thru traffic for the duration of the project.

• Both lanes of WIS 22 between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street are now accessible to local traffic. Intersections between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street remain closed for concrete pavement placement.

  • All driveways on the north side of WIS 22 between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street will be accessible by the end of this week.

  • Driveways on the south side of WIS 22 between Gillett High School and East Main Street remain inaccessible for concrete sidewalk placement.

 

Detour: WIS 22 will remain closed and detoured. Detour route directs WIS 22 traffic to use County H and County R.
