Hi Everyone,

Here is the weekly update for the WIS 22 roadway project in Gillett. If you know of anyone else who would like to receive these updates, please let me know and I will add them to the list.

This Week (August 24 to August 28): The contractor completed pouring curb & gutter along the west side if WIS 22 between East Main Street and WIS 32. Concrete pavement crews poured the parking lane between East Park Street and Washington Street along the northbound lane. The curb crew poured concrete curb & gutter in intersections on the east side of WIS 22 between Railroad Street and East Cedar Street. The contractor began grading and setting form work for sidewalk on the east side of WIS 22 between Railroad Street and WIS 32.

Next Week (August 31 to September 4): The concrete paving contractor will set up and begin pouring concrete pavement in intersections on the east side of WIS 22 between Railroad Street and East Cedar Street. Crews will pour curb & gutter in intersections on the west side of WIS 22 between West Park Street and West Cedar Street. Sidewalk pours will begin along the east side of WIS 22 between Railroad Street and East Cedar Street. The contractor will complete topsoil work around asphalt driveways between Finnegan Lake Road and East Main Street.

Traffic impacts: WIS 22 closed to thru traffic for the duration of the project.

    • Driveways on both sides of WIS 22 between East Main Street and WIS 32 are closed for concrete paving operations.

      • Access to driveways on the west side of WIS 22 between East Main Street and WIS 32 will be temporarily reinstated next week with gravel.

      • Driveways on the east side of WIS 22 between East Main Street and WIS 32 will remain closed next week for concrete sidewalk and driveway work.

    • Property owners on both East Cedar Street and West Cedar Street can continue to access their homes from either Washington Street or WIS 32.

    • WIS 22 between East Main Street and Washington Street is completely inaccessible due to concrete pavement operations.

Detour: WIS 22 will remain closed and detoured. Detour route directs WIS 22 traffic to use County H and County R.

Thanks,
