Weekly Construction Update – STH 22 Utility Improvements (Gillett)
Week of March 9, 2026

 

Three crews will be actively working on the project during the week of March 9.

 

Crew 1 will begin installing sanitary sewer main on N. McKenzie Ave, moving east onto W. Cedar St starting Monday. Two service laterals will also be installed on W. Cedar St. Once that work is completed, the crew will move to E. Cedar St to install sewer main beginning at N. McKenzie Ave and heading east. Work on E. Cedar St is anticipated to begin late Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

Residents and motorists in these areas are asked to be patient and allow extra time for travel. Crews may need to move equipment to allow access on and off W. Cedar St and E. Cedar St. If your destination is not located on these streets, please use an alternate route as N. McKenzie Ave will be closed to through traffic in these work zones while construction is underway. After Cedar Street work is complete, this crew will return to N. McKenzie Ave to wrap up remaining work for this portion of the project later in the week.

 

Crew 2 will be installing service laterals starting near Harding St and working east along W. Main St.

 

Crew 3 will be working near S. McKenzie Ave and W. Main St installing additional service laterals.

 

The larger remaining scope of sewer and water work for the project will be along W. Main St. Motorists are encouraged to avoid these areas when possible so crews can work safely and efficiently.
