GILLETT PUBLIC LIBRARY - ST. JOHN'S CLOCK CHURCH - 12 PM

Here is the weekly update for the WIS 22 roadway project in Gillett.
This Week (April 6 – April 10): Surveyors continued initial staking work. Trees and stumps that conflict with proposed work are being removed. Saw cutting is being completed in driveways, sidewalks, and side streets at the project limits. Landscaping crews installed initial erosion control and removed existing street signs.
Next Week (April 13 – April 17): Underground storm sewer work will begin. The contractor plans to begin work in the East 1st Street/South Garden Street intersection and work to the southwest toward the Elm Street intersection.
Traffic Impacts: When storm sewer work begins between Elm Street and Garden Street, there will be times where local traffic on West Main Street/WIS 22 will not be able to pass through the work zone. Access through the work zone between Elm Street and Garden Street will be dependent on the exact location the contractor is working at that given time. Generally, one lane will be open to local traffic, but that may not be possible when the contractor is installing pipes that cross the roadway.
Detour: WIS 22 will remain closed and detoured using the same detour route that is currently in-place. This detour will remain until next Monday, April 13. On Monday, April 13, the detour route will change back to County H and County R.
