In 2025, the Gillett Area Chamber of Commerce Forever Fund awarded one grant of $ 3,000. We received several applications for wonderful projects worthy of the grant, but after voting, the winner selected for the award was Sunshine Child Center and Preschool.
Following the tornado that swept through our community and destroyed Telford's newly constructed facility, the Forever Fund Committee also established a program to help our Chamber Members affected by a natural disaster and awarded Telford a $1,000 gift to help them reconstruct their facility.
The Forever Fund of the Gillett Area Chamber of Commerce was transferred from the Revitalize Gillett Forever Fund in 2024 after conversations were begun in 2023 with the remaining board members of the now-defunct Revitalize Gillett, LLC. The goal of the transition team was to keep to the spirit of the original establishment of the Forever Fund. It is open to all businesses within the Gillett Area whether they are a member of the Gillett Area Chamber of Commerce or not. Each recipient will be determined through the membership of the Chamber after reviewing each request and voting. The last award from the Revitalize Gillett Forever Fund was given in 2019, so to celebrate the relaunch the GACC decided to award four awards at up to $2500 for a total gifting of $10,000. The awards were announced at our Annual Business Meeting at the Gillett Secondary School Commons on November 14th.
