Let’s Be Kind

We want to add to a spirit of kindness in our community and would like to promote Random Acts of Kindness week within our community. You can go to various Chamber businesses and pick up cards with ideas for simple acts that you can do that may make a big difference in the day of another neighbor in our community! In a time when we are often bombarded with bad news and people treat each other with disrespect. Where we more often see division rather than unity, let us strive over this time to let the goodness of our community outshine those who wish to spread discontent! Let us fill Facebook pages and other social media with positive post after positive post.

It doesn’t have to cost anything to be kind to another. It may be as simple as a kind greeting, holding a door for someone, or being willing to help a person in need. There are many ways in which we can show our compassion for one another. We believe in the community of Gillett and the areas surrounding us and know that there are many good people and a lot of good things that happen in our community that go unnoticed. It is good for us to highlight those things. If you see someone doing something good, send us a message on our website and we can post it to our Facebook page. You can also post it to your own social media pages and #GillettAreaChamber or @GillettAreaChamber. If you have pictures of the good being done, post them and show the kindness that others are doing!

Let us seek to care for our neighbor and build up our community with our positivity and be a light!
